In September 2010, the world’s largest offshore wind farm officially opened off the UK coast. The Thanet offshore wind farm, off the south east coast of England, has 100 turbines which will produce enough green energy a year to power the equivalent of more than 200,000 homes.

Throughout its development, all contractors/visitors to site were checked in using Semieta Visitor Manager, provided by AccessIT Data. With huge interest in the project the Visitor Manager application, has been used extensively throughout its development, to ensure that details of all visitors to site were managed effectively, as it was important for the contracting company to know who was on site, where and when.

Network Rail (at London’s Victoria station) have gone live with Semieta contractor manager to control all visitors and contractors attending one of the UK’s busiest railway stations. This provides the station with an electronic copy of all permits issued by the station, accurate information about which contractors are on site, and whether they are properly approved and authorised.

The British Library asked AccessIT Data to install Semieta Resource Manager to provide a networked solution to controlling the car parking spaces.

Laing O’Rourke have installed Semieta contractor manager to enable them to track contractors engaged on a gas pipe laying project, along an area of 47 miles in the Midlands.
